AIM OF THE PROJECT: To promote the fight against corruption in Latvia by increasing transparency on decision-making and public participation opportunities, as well as by promoting closer cooperation of the Latvian anti-corruption community.
MAIN ACTIVITIES
- Strengthening the whistleblowing – promote the whistleblowing channels to fight against dishonesty and corrupt behaviour at work place.
- Introduction to the Law on Transparency of Interest Representation (lobbying) and ethical representation of interests.
- Promotion of internal party democracy.
- Inclusion of anti-corruption issues in the pre-election programs of the European Parliament.
- Informative campaigns on anti-corruption data (Corruption Perception Index, etc.).
- Advocacy activities in Saeima (following-up to the agenda of commissions and submitting proposals to draft laws developed in the Saeima, for example, amendments to the Saeima’s Rules of Procedure, etc.).
- Evaluation of the 14th Saeima’s work in areas of anti-corruption, good governance and transparency.
- Evaluation of the codes of ethics of local governments.
- Implementation of activities in the National Open Government Partnership Action Plan.
- Cooperation with law enforcement institutions.
- Strengthening the activities of non-governmental organizations.
