TRANSPARENCY INTERNATIONAL LATVIA INVITES TO PARTICIPATE IN THE ANTI-CORRUPTION OPEN DATA HACKATHON

We are pleased to invite everyone interested to the international anti-corruption open data hackathon.

The hackathon is organized by Transparency International Latvia (“Sabiedrība par atklātību – Delna”) in cooperation with the Estonian and Finnish chapters of Transparency International. We invite civil society, state institutions, company representatives and anyone interested to participate in the event.

During the event, participants will gain insight into the use of open data and work on solving specific problems – ideas on how to use open data to reveal possible corruption, conflicts of interest or improve governance.

The event will take place on the online platform Zoom on January 25, 2024 from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m., as well as on January 26 from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. We kindly invite you to register by January 19 here: https://forms.gle/gK7GQD4uh5xqQdkKA

The event will be held in English. After the hackathon, together with colleagues from Estonia and Finland, the best ideas will be presented to the relevant state institutions, inviting them to use them in their work.

In preparation for the hackathon, colleagues from the three countries have developed a comparative analysis of national approaches to using open data as a tool in their respective fields against corruption. You can find out more about the analysis here->.
